We would like to explain about the body part's name of Akita dog a little. Look at the figure of the lower left.There are ears, eyes, head, back, waist, tail and etc……. They are the parts which we call the name naturally. And there are Japanese say "Bikyou"=the top of nose=, "Kyoukotsutan"=the wide of chest= and etc……. They are the parts which we seldom use the name. We think there are only few veteran owners who know all name with perfectly. And there are names of the hair's parts. 

 If you'd like to get a prize in the exhibition by your Akita dog, your dog need to have good face, good formation, good scale and etc……. The most important thing for victory is total balance.

 Veteran owners and judges say sometimes,"The Akita dog's face is so good. But……." If you are only layman,it is enough "my Akita is pretty". But if you hope to get the win in exhibitions, think always about the total balance.

　Look at the 2 photos of Akita dog. Are they same Akita dog or not? They are same dog. She was grand champion of Tohoku and Hokkaido district in Japan. She had wonderful total balance. We think she was little fat in the right photo. She in the right photo is older than left. "Soon ripe, soon rotten". Do you understand the proverb? Her perfect total balance made in the few years. And she showed great stability at last.

 Akita dog's big varue is when they are Japanese say "Seiken" =grown dog=, not "You ken"=Young dog=. If you will get the victory in the "You ken", you will also get the victory not all in "Seiken". We'd like to say you again "Soon ripe, soon rotten". Never forget it. The victory in the "Seiken". It is the tribute in the king of kings.
